Slash commands

Type / in your clan’s Discord and Anvil answers from the live site: the board, the standings, your own card, the weeklies, the coffer and anybody’s stats. This page is the full list, generated from the commands the bot actually registers, so it is never out of date.

Private answers only you can see, with a Share buttonYour language whatever your Discord is set toRead-only except /coffer add and remove
Step 1

How a command works

#

Type / in any channel the bot can see and pick an Anvil command from the list. Discord then shows its options as boxes to fill in: press Tab or click one to add it. Options in <angle brackets> below are required; options in [square brackets] are optional and you can leave them out.

Every answer is private: only you see it, so checking the board ten times a day bothers nobody. If it is worth showing the channel, press Share to channel under the answer. The shared copy is rebuilt at that moment, so standings shared later are the standings as they are then.

Required<amount> — Discord will not send the command until it is filled in.
Optional[member] — leave it out and the command answers about you, your team or the whole clan.
A listpick one of the values Discord offers; you can’t type your own.
Type to searchstart typing and pick from the suggestions, such as boss names or your own accounts.
A memberpick someone from the server, the same as an @mention.
Commands only work in your clan’s server

Every answer is about one clan, and a DM has no clan to answer about. That is why the commands don’t appear in DMs.

Step 2

Board commands: /bingo

#

/bingo is about one board. When several boards are live, board and leaderboard list them all; the rest answer about the board that is running, then the next one to start, then the one that just ended.

/bingo board

The board running right now. Until the board is revealed, tile names stay hidden here too.

/bingo leaderboard

Example
/bingo leaderboard

/bingo rules

Step 4

Options you’ll see everywhere

#

A few options mean the same thing on every command that has them:

membersomeone else in the server. Leave it out to ask about yourself. It finds their Anvil account through the Discord login they used on the site, so it only works for members who have signed in to Anvil once.
accountwhich of that person’s OSRS accounts, for people with alts. Type to pick; leave it out for their main.
pagea boss or activity, typed to search: Zulrah, Theatre of Blood, Tempoross. Leave it out for the overall view.
languageanswer this one time in a different language. By default you get the language your Discord is set to, or the clan’s chosen bot language.
amountgp the friendly way: 5m, 2.5b, 500k, or a plain number like 2,500,000.
Step 5

Who can use what

#

Anyone in the server can run every read-only command. What you see is what a member would see: a board whose tiles aren’t revealed yet stays hidden in Discord too, even for staff.

Commands that answer about you (/bingo me, /stats with no member) need to know which Anvil account is yours. They find it through the Discord login you used on the site, so sign in to Anvil with Discord once and they work from then on.

Everyoneevery command except /coffer add and /coffer remove.
Treasurers, admins, owners/coffer add and /coffer remove. Checked against your role on the Anvil site, never your Discord role, because a rank in a chat server has never meant control of the clan’s money.
Step 6

When a command doesn’t work

#

The usual causes, roughly in the order they happen:

No Anvil commands in the listthe bot was invited without its commands — that is a separate permission, and older invite links only asked for one. An admin re-runs the invite link from Admin → Integrations → Discord bot. It doesn’t kick the bot or reset anything. Newly added commands can take up to an hour to appear.
“The application did not respond”Anvil was briefly unreachable, usually mid-update. Run it again a few seconds later.
“Not on this board” about yourselfeither you haven’t entered this board, or Anvil can’t match your Discord to your account. Sign in to the site with this Discord account and check your profile.
A member’s stats come back emptythey haven’t signed in to Anvil with Discord yet, or their account’s hiscores haven’t been read yet. Try again with the account option, or ask them to sign in once.
/coffer add says you can’tyour role on the Anvil site isn’t treasurer, admin or owner, or this Discord isn’t the account you sign in to the site with.

Setting the bot up in the first place is the Discord guide. This page is about using it.
